This project is to build a 206-kilometer-long deep tunnel sewage treatment system in Singapore, which will transport wastewater by gravity to three centralized water plants located in Changi, Kranji and Tuas. Since the project costs approximately US$10 billion and has a design life of up to 100 years, after completion, the project can greatly meet Singapore’s water needs. By collecting wastewater from industries, households, and businesses, it will be treated and purified in a centralized manner to create long-term water conservancy infrastructure and achieve environmental protection.
